Blogvent 6 - Heart hand warmer...

There is a few of these rice warmers in blogland at the moment - here is my version -I hope you like it. perfect for keeping your hands warm whilst out looking at the Christmas lights!

I used a cookie cut to get the heart shape - they could be any shape of course. First of all you need to make the innards! I used felt.

Then fill will rice!

I then cut a slightly bigger heart out of fleece to make the cover.

Then to make it a pillowcase fold at the back I cut slightly over half of the top and bottom.

Then blanket stitch around the edge. This could have been done of the sewing machine and pinking sheared the edges.

And it is done! Now all you need to do is pop the inner cotton 'rice bag' into the microwave and nuke for 30 secs to heat it up - don't overdo it, 30 secs at a time is plenty x
